Pregnancy
Our time together will be tailored to suit your needs. You will leave our session(s) with practical knowledge that aligns with your goals. I can support you with resources as you reflect on some of these important questions:
What kind of birth is important to me?
Will I birth in the hospital, birth center, or at home?
How do I choose a birth doula?
What “things” do I really need to buy?
How can I prepare my older children for the arrival of baby?
How do I plan for postpartum?
What can I do to plan for feeding my baby?
How can I advocate for myself & my needs during pregnancy and beyond?
How do I find quality childcare for my new baby?
How do I want my relationships to evolve as I become a new parent?
45 mins | $50
At this time, I only atten births as a free, community doula. Visit https://www.palsdoulas.com/ for more info.
Parenting
The first year of your child’s life is a wild adventure. As a new parent, you are establishing a bond with baby, integrating them into your new life, and getting a crash course in infant care & development. Not to mention managing all of the adult responsibilities you have with earning a living, being in relationship with other adults, and taking care of yourself. It’s a time filled with joy and uncertainty. In a parenting session, you will have an opportunity to ask questions, be heard, share emotions, and, ultimately, leave with practical knowledge that aligns with your values. We can cover:
Learning how to play with your baby
Creating opportunities for baby to explore new skills
Education on child development and infant care (e.g., milestones, swaddling, soothing, feeding, bathing)
Nurturing bond between siblings
Introducing solids
Identifying childcare that aligns with your values
Setting up age-appropriate play zones
Establishing a language-rich environment
Exploring how to set boundaries
60 mins | $80 first hour & $65 after
